About Heathen Vegan

Summer ’21 update – food for groups of people reuniting…

At the moment, we’re cooking out of the box. What we mean is that for the last year, we’ve been cooking individual orders, putting the food into boxes, and delivering to homes all over the South Lakes area.

But we’ve recently been out of the those boxes and preparing food for Ourea Events Ltd’s summer events including Berghaus Cape Wrath Ultra, Silva Great Lakeland 3 Day, Montane Dragon’s Back Race and Saloman Scottish Skyline.

Also, we’ve cooked for a group of people celebrating a big birthday who will be eating the food in a climbing hut, food for a group who met online throughout lockdown and are finally getting together again… as well as dinner parties. Group food is trending!

A bit of history… Heathen Vegan began mid-2018 and operated The Supper Club at our quirky home-based restaurant serving creative higher-end vegan three-course set menus. We also catered for private events, and served lovely homemade curries at The New Union and The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal.

When we started, we didn’t set out to get five star reviews all round but we did and were humbled by them.

Our response to the events of March 2020 was to launch Heathen Vegan Gourmet Home Delivery, and for the last year we have delivered hundreds of meals to our customers in and around Kendal at the weekends. We have been on Vegan Life Magazine’s podcast and we are now gearing up for many events through the summer of ’21.
