On 27th and 28th November ’21 only… a very special 3-course menu using authentic ingredients…

Starter – Chiles en Nogada
Eye-widenly good. This is so good and so different and unlike anything else we’ve made, it had to be on the menu. Mexican poblano chillis (mild) are stuffed with a delicious savoury mix of soya protein, herbs, spices, nuts and fruits. Served with a creamy walnut sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds.

Main course – Pozole Rojo and charred cobs
It’s perfect for Wintry evenings. Made with hominy (white maize) and ancho chillis, this Aztec dish is vibrant and nourishing. Traditionally a meat-oriented dish, we’ve added our vegan spin to create a stew which is full bodied but still with a lightness to it. Finished with sliced radishes, shredded iron-rich green cabbage, tortillas, herbs and a squeeze of lime… So bring out your cheffy self and enjoy dressing your dish from all the little pots of garnishes provided… Best eaten from a bowl, with the charred corn cobs on the side.

Pudding – Capirotada
Traditionally a savoury dish using cheese, New World ingredients entered the frame to create this layered bread pudding. Not really a fan of bread and butter pudding, Julia danced about the idea of it, before going for it and realising that yes, a bread pudding can be delicious… This dish begins with a spice-infused syrup steeping raisins overnight… then layers of buttered bread, a cheesy cheeseless sauce made with a very light touch to avoid clogging the palate, with the raisin syrup poured over… baked so there are squidgy bits and crusty bits… Novel. Reassuring. Gorgeous.

Sweet Treat
A Mexican menu without churros? Never! Pops of cinnamon sugary goodness sent to make sure no corners of tummies are left empty!

Please kindly note that this is a 3-course plus sweet treat menu for 2 people.
Coeliacs can be catered for.
