Inspired by Hodmedod’s Blue Peas, this is a rich slow-cooked smokey sauce made with tomatoes, onions and garlic. We’ve added British-grown fresh-cooked Blue Peas, Carlin Peas and Green Lentils (all from Hodmedod’s) along with our house spice mix. The ready-to-eat version comes with rice box and some homemade garlic bread and is topped with corn salsa. The frozen version is simply the chilli.
Options: with gluten or gluten-free; ready-to-eat or frozen
Freezable: in an airtight box, this will keep fine in the freezer for 6 months
Reheating instructions: defrost thoroughly and decant into suitable cookware. Reheat in the microwave or on the hob, stirring, until piping hot all the way through.
