‘Just had the new Burmese Curry. Just wow.’ Feb. 21
We got inquisitive about the food of Burma when hearing the news about the military coup. A quick look at the map implied there would be Asian influences… And here is our first dish…
Serving two people with generous portions, this is our hot Zingy Burmese Curry – caramelised onion petals, ginger and garlic cooked down for ages along with chilli, paprika and turmeric; and it’s finished with vegan fish sauce. The veggies and proteins used in this curry are green beans, cauliflower and Carlin’s and it is topped with crunchy little chunks of roasted potato. Warning! This is a hot spicy curry.
For a delicious and complete range of textures and flavours, we decided to send our Zingy Burmese Curry with 3 side dishes:
- Creamed corn topped with caramelised onions
- Burmese Salad topped with sesame seeds and dressed in Burmese flavours
- Basmati rice
