‘Just had the new Burmese Curry. Just wow.’ Feb. 21
We got inquisitive about the food of Burma when hearing the news about the military coup. A quick look at the map implied there would be Asian influences… And here is our first dish…
Serving two people with generous portions, this is our Zingy Burmese Curry – caramelised onion petals, ginger and garlic cooked down for ages along with chilli, paprika and turmeric; and it’s finished with vegan fish sauce. Green beans and peas are popped in at the end, and the curry is topped with crunchy little chunks of roasted potatoes.
For a delicious and complete range of textures and flavours, we decided to send our Zingy Burmese Curry with 3 side dishes:
- Creamed corn topped with caramelised onions
- Burmese Salad topped with sesame seeds and dressed in Burmese flavours
- Basmati rice
